Scavenger Hunt

The crocodile hunt will provide a fun way to explore New Brighton. Hunt down the crocodiles, kindly created and donated by the New Brighton Mosaic group, and find hidden gems and learn new facts about our neat little suburb. Once you have snapped (a photo) of them all, show your pics to the New Brighton Info Centre during opening hours to claim your prize.
New Brighton Soup

Join us for an evening of kai and community. For your ticket you will receive a delicious bowl of soup and one vote for your favourite idea on the night. Up to six people will pitch their ideas to those gathered and the winning idea will take home a pot of money to help make it happen.
We are collaborating with local businesses and the New Brighton Community Gardens to make this event happen. What we love about Soup is that it brings the community together and also helps make things happen, fast!
The Winter Shiver

Dig out your hats, gloves and best Hawaiian shirt….?! Brightening up winter, this event encourages you to make the most of slopes and the surf all in one day.
Proudly partnering with Mount Hutt Ski Field the Winter Shiver will have it all. Snow, surf, music, food trucks and Hawaiian shirts are sure to make this the best event of the winter season!
Shark Alley
Coming Winter 2024...
DCB will be supporting the temporary activation of the old-Westpac site in Brighton Mall. We have been inspired by our seaside locale and plan to bring you something super fun and quirky!
The project will also help test some of the ideas behind the North-South corridor action as detailed in the New Brighton Master Plan. We will be working alongside local businesses, ChristchurchNZ and City Council for this project.
